Description
Perimeter Security Partners (“PSP”) is looking for an experienced leader to serve as the company’s Director of Service, supporting and focusing our growing maintenance and service team to fully realize the available market opportunities. PSP designs, engineers, constructs, and maintains physical and electronic security systems for high-risk assets to serve governmental, commercial, and industrial customers worldwide. PSP’s growing maintenance and service department requires a high-initiative, technically adept, process-oriented manager with strong leadership and mentoring skills to maximize the performance of our existing team. The Director of Service will work with their team of project managers, service managers, contract administrators, and field technicians to develop contract performance standards, improve standard operating procedures, implement technology and software-based tools, enhance client relationships, and develop the team through training, mentorship, and constructive feedback. The Director of Service will report directly to the CEO.
Duties
Structure and equip the Maintenance and Service Department to meet current requirements and future opportunities:
Directly supervise a team of 2 Service Managers, a Senior Project Manager, a Program Manager, and 2 Contracts Administrators, to include all administrative requirements, performance reviews, training, professional development, goal setting, and problem-solving support.
Provide mentoring, guidance, and a point of escalation for all Service Department personnel to improve efficiencies and accomplish assigned work.
Develop, support, and implement policies and procedures in coordination with PSP leadership to meet contractual requirements and company objectives.
Execute contract management responsibilities for all work assigned to the department, including contract review, change order development, customer dispute resolution, terms negotiation, and other associated tasks.
Conduct periodic visits to project sites to obtain direct client feedback, observe PSP performance, observe the condition of assigned equipment, and to identify potential additional opportunities.
Oversee the company’s contract reporting requirements, ensuring reports are professional, accurate, complete, and delivered in a timely manner.
Identify process improvement opportunities within the department and implement projects to execute improvements.
Oversee the onboarding process and initial training for new hire department employees.
Coordinate with other directors and managers of the company to efficiently share resources, lessons learned, and client relationships to optimize the company’s performance.
Develop and monitor performance standards for department personnel that ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company policy.
Requirements, Skills, And Qualifications
Duties are performed primarily in PSP’s Brentwood, TN office. Periodic (< 5%) travel within the United States is required.

Duties

- Maintain the proper staffing for the department by monitoring workloads, developing job descriptions for individual roles, and coordinating with PSP executives to source, screen, and hire new team members.
- Conduct in-house training and arrange 3rd party training for all personnel within the department, including technical training and management training topics.
- Identify software, mobile devices, tools, and equipment necessary to allow for quality, safe execution of the work and documentation of the work performed by the department.
- Define vehicle requirements for the department and establish standards for equipping and maintaining assigned vehicles.

Requirements, Skills, And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or an applicable technical discipline is required.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a management role is required, with at least three years of experience as a second level supervisor preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a technical service, maintenance, or construction company is required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience in an industrial maintenance company, security industry company, or military service is preferred.
- Experience with CMMS, project management software, or similar applications is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are required.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for several hours at a time.
- Ability to travel by air or for up to 8 hours by car.

Salary : $105,000 - $135,000
