What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop position at Peri & Sons Farms of California, LLC?
The crop on which workers will work is onions. Workers will: hand harvest onions; clip roots and/or tops to specifications; place the harvested product in buckets and transfer product to field bins; move buckets, bins, sacks, and other accompanying items; remove drip tape; assist with harvesting activities; perform manual agricultural tasks; and perform any and all other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. All tasks herein constitute one job. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Highly repetitive motions to reach crops at ground level and place the crops in appropriate containers are required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required. We anticipate 511 workers arriving on 5/15/26, and 3 workers arriving on 5/20/26.
