Position Details
Housekeeper – Hospital Setting
Position Overview:
Join our dedicated environmental services team and help us create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, residents, visitors, and staff. As a Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning duties in assigned areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and offices.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and fixtures to meet hospital hygiene standards.
- Safely operate housekeeping equipment and report any repair needs.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members and interact courteously with patients, residents, and visitors.
What You Offer
- High school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to learn how to operate cleaning care equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and team-player mentality.
- Pass a background study through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Work Schedule
- 80 hours per biweekly pay period.
- Monday - Friday; 7:30p-4:00a
- Includes every 4th weekend and 2 holidays per year.
