The Camp Hill School District is seeking candidates for the following contracted production team positions in The Pollock Center for the High School Musical.
Vocal Director - $2,200
- Prior to rehearsals, read and break down the show script to understand all elements related to vocal direction for a successful production.
- Help with vocal placement during auditions or casting, ensuring that performers are assigned parts suited to their vocal range and abilities.
- Plan and lead vocal rehearsals, teaching songs, harmonies, and vocal parts.
- Provide vocal training and coaching to youth performers, helping them develop proper vocal technique, improve pitch, tone, and vocal range.
- Offer constructive feedback during rehearsals to help campers improve their vocal performances, while fostering confidence and teamwork among cast members.
- Collaborate with the director and production team to ensure that vocal elements are integrated seamlessly with blocking, choreography, and the overall production concept.
- Work with the production team to build and maintain schedules, cast assignments, production needs, and performance logistics.
- Oversee vocal rehearsals leading up to the final performance, ensuring that all vocal aspects are polished and ready for performance.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Director of The Pollock Center.
Costume Designer - $1,400
- Read and break down the show script to understand all elements related to costuming for a successful production.
- Collaborate with the director and production team to design costumes that reflect the characters, themes, and setting of the show. Ensure that costumes align with the overall artistic vision while meeting practical needs for movement and comfort.
- Design and construct original costumes or source appropriate pre-made garments.
- Create a costume guide/needs handout for students if they are being asked to provide any items.
- Work within the designated budget for costumes, ensuring that resources are used efficiently. Keep track of materials, purchases, and supplies related to costuming.
- Schedule and manage costume fittings for all cast members, ensuring that costumes fit and making any necessary alterations.
- Create a costume run sheet with tracks for each cast member to aid with show tracking and costume changes.
- Attend dress rehearsals to ensure that costumes work as intended onstage, making adjustments as needed for comfort, practicality, or performance requirements.
- Work with, supervise, and oversee the Costume Assistant/Wardrobe Head.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Director of The Pollock Center.
Stage Manager - $1,500
- Read and break down the show script to understand all necessary elements for a successful production. Begin creation of the cast list, prop list, set needs, production needs, and technical elements.
- Organize and manage all aspects of rehearsal schedules, including cast, times, staff, and locations. Take detailed notes during rehearsals, tracking production needs and changes.
- Work with the director and production team to ensure that all technical elements (lighting, sound, props, set changes, etc.) are properly integrated into the production.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the director, production team, cast members, and parents. Ensure that all changes, updates, or concerns are communicated.
- Supervise and oversee the Assistant Stage Manager and Stage Management students.
- Call the show during performances, ensuring that all cues (lighting, sound, scene changes, etc.) are given at the correct times.
- Maintain order backstage, ensuring the safety of cast, crew, and audience, and handle any emergencies or issues that arise.
- Coordinate and supervise the management of props, costumes, and set changes during performances. Ensure that all elements are in place and ready for each scene.
