What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Material Handler position at Performance Stamping?
Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for keeping the work flow moving on the production floor as well as maintain inventory and work order integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
· Record in the ERP system and transfer in-process and finished parts produced by production.
· Assist in retrieving supplies stored on pallets, including components, boxes, etc.
· Consult appropriate staff when an abnormal condition is encountered.
· Must be well versed in forklift operations.
· Maintain time and production records.
· Comply with all company policies and procedures (safety, quality, and 5S).
· Accurately calculate and record scrap quantities.
· Close work orders.
· Perform PO Requisitions.
· Maintain accurate inventory locations in the ERP system.
· Create move tickets to meet production schedules.
· Transfer material between buildings, including parts, dies, components, boxes, etc.
· Assist shipping leads with duties as assigned.
· Be a back-up for overhead crane operator and raw material receiving.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
