Outpatient Interventional Pain Practice | Valencia, CA
This practice is a physician-led interventional pain and physical medicine practice in Valencia and Tarzana. We're looking for a well-rounded, dependable Medical Assistant who can wear several hats — clinical, front desk, and administrative — and keep our clinic days running smoothly. If you're a strong phlebotomist who also enjoys patient care and the operational side of a practice, this is a great fit.
This is a hybrid, do-a-bit-of-everything role on a small team. Your work is visible, your contribution matters, and no two days look exactly the same. There is opportunity for growth.
What you'll do
- Occasionally draw perform phlebotomy accurately and comfortably (a core part of this role)
- Room patients, take vitals, document history, and prep charts for the physician
- Prepare and set up medications and supplies for procedures; assist with ultrasound-guided injections as needed
- Run the front desk: patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, phones, and a warm first impression
- Handle administrative tasks — prior authorizations, insurance verification, records, and follow-up
- Keep the clinical space stocked, clean, and ready for the day
What we're looking for
- Prior medical assistant experience in a clinical setting (required)
- Strong phlebotomy skills — confident, clean sticks (strong plus)
- MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred
- Front-office and administrative experience — scheduling, phones, prior auth, insurance verification
- Organized, dependable, and calm juggling clinical and front-desk duties in a busy clinic
- Warm, professional bedside manner and strong communication
Schedule & pay
- Part-time (days/hours to be discussed — typically 2–3 clinic days per week)
- $20-24 per hour, depending on experience and skills
