What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano & Voice Teacher position at Performance Play Music School?
Performance Play Music School is currently hiring a Piano Instructor to teach private lessons on Mon, Tues, and Thu from 3-8pm (or similar hours). More days could be added, especially if you can teach an additional instrument(s) or voice. Many of our students are young beginners or intermediate players, so inspiring a genuine enthusiasm for music and building strong connections matters far more than experience teaching advanced classical technique!
Please only respond if you are looking to take on this position for at least one year. Serious candidates are encouraged to attach VIDEO CLIPS OR LINKS of your playing/singing.
Our school is a modern facility with a family-friendly atmosphere and a great community of fun and talented instructors! We are located near the Southlands Mall in SE Aurora, so it generally works best if you are within a 40 min drive (see our address below). Pay starts at $22-28/hour (W-2)...based on your level of music education, teaching experience, and playing experience. We take care of all the admin. responsibilities (marketing, booking, billing, rescheduling, payroll, cleaning), so you can fully concentrate on teaching. INSTRUCTORS ARE PAID FOR ALL TIME AT THE SCHOOL, including schedule gaps and trials. We also have our teachers run band practices for the students, which can be a fun addition to your week!
Thank you for taking the time to consider this position!
