We are hiring an experienced HR Manager to support the launch and growth of a new advanced manufacturing and technology operation in the Lafayette area. This role will lead HR initiatives, build processes from the ground up, and play a key role in workforce expansion. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, startup-style environments and has strong experience in HR leadership within manufacturing, tech, aviation, or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and scalable systems
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Drive recruitment strategies for technical and professional roles
- Oversee compensation, retention, and employee engagement programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Maintain HR metrics, reporting, and data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 7 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of HR operations and employment law
- Experience supporting startup, manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or technology environments
- Proficient with HRIS/ERP platforms (Workday, Rippling, ADP, Paylocity, etc.)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lafayette, LA
Preferred Experience
- HR support experience during company launch or site expansion
- Background in manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, robotics, or industrial sectors
- Experience building HR processes and culture from the ground up
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 – $130,000 , based on experience
