Reports To: Security Supervisor/Operations Manager

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $800-$1,000 based upon experience

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a licensed, professional Armed Vehicle Patrol Officer to conduct mobile security patrols across multiple client locations throughout assigned routes. The ideal candidate will provide visible security presence, conduct thorough property inspections, and respond to security incidents while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Patrol Duties

  • Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols of multiple client properties following predetermined routes
  • Perform exterior and interior security checks at each location as specified by client contracts
  • Monitor and inspect perimeters, buildings, parking areas, and access points
  • Verify security of doors, windows, gates, and alarm systems
  • Document time of arrival/departure at each location with detailed logs

Security Operations

  • Maintain constant vigilance for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security breaches
  • Respond immediately to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete detailed incident reports for all security-related events
  • Maintain accurate patrol logs with timestamps for each client visit
  • Submit daily activity reports and client-specific documentation
  • Photograph and document any property damage, safety hazards, or security concerns
  • Communicate findings to supervisors and clients through written and verbal reports

Client Relations

  • Maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times
  • Interact courteously with clients, tenants, visitors, and the general public
  • Follow specific client protocols and special instructions for each location
  • Serve as a positive representative of the security company
  • Address client concerns and requests within scope of authority

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensing & Certification

  • Current Texas Level III or Level IV Security Officer License with firearm endorsement
  • Current Texas Driver's License with clean driving record (3 years)
  • High school diploma or GED required, additional training or certifications in security preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years armed security or law enforcement experience
  • Proven experience in mobile patrol or multi-site security operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
  • Proficiency with security equipment, radios, and report writing systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining vigilant
  • Basic computer literacy for report writing and communications
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and incident response protocols

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for up to 8-12 hour shifts
  • Ability to remain alert and vigilant throughout entire shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for extended periods while patrolling
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to detect security concerns
  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents, including running, lifting, and carrying objects
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions during exterior patrols

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Various shifts available including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work locations throughout the DFW metroplex
  • Patrol duties conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Required to carry and maintain firearms in accordance with company policies and state laws
