Responsibilities
- Manage the entire auto financing process, including loan approval, credit analysis, and contract preparation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate financing solutions that meet their needs.
- Upsell additional finance products such as extended warranties, insurance, and service plans to enhance customer value.
- Oversee loan officer activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations including TILA.
- Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to secure favorable financing options.
- Process title work, title processing, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Utilize financial software for loan processing, credit checks, and contract management efficiently.
- Conduct credit analysis to determine customer eligibility for financing options.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support automobile sales initiatives through effective financing strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions using 10-key typing skills and basic math proficiency for accurate data entry.
- Ensure adherence to dealership policies regarding contracts, credit approvals, and legal compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or Finance Manager within an automotive dealership or financial services environment.
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in upselling finance products and negotiating deals effectively.
- Familiarity with dealership operations, including title processing and contract management.
- Proficiency in financial software applications related to loan processing and credit analysis.
- Excellent math skills, including basic calculations necessary for credit evaluation and contract terms.
- Knowledge of TILA regulations and other relevant legal requirements governing auto financing.
