Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking a Buyer to join our team. The purpose of this job is to plan, schedule, order, and monitor materials, machines, and labor to ensure that customer demands are met in the most cost-effective manner possible
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the Production cycle.
- Provide lead time to sales department.
- Determines quantity and order date for raw materials to meet production demands.
- May be involved in selecting and negotiating with approved vendors.
- Order pre-production outside services.
- Monitors and analyzes inventory levels and works to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Develops forecasts for raw materials.
- Provides all procurement activities including contract negotiations, issuing of purchase orders for goods and services, and vendor approvals and evaluations, as required.
- Instrumental in bringing new vendors and products to the company in an effort to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
- Works closely with engineering in developing new products.
- Performs audits of existing vendor base.
- Assists in resolving inventory and quality issues with procured product as they arise.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; technical school degree preferred
- 1 year of experience working in a buyer/planner role
- Manage multiple tasks and objectives
- Self-motivated, organized, and independent worker with the ability to work related deadlines
- Ability to provide leadership and integration to organization
- Ability to learn, convey, and expand company objectives
- Ability to manage and maintain confidential information
- Ability to foster effective work relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors
- Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable using the computer including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Desire to take advantage of an opportunity with great growth potential
- Ability to assist in any areas as requested by management
