Functions as a team member within the department and organization and performs other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
- Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
- Assist with scheduling and ensure timely completion of deliveries and pickups.
- Ride along with drivers for training and evaluation purposes.
- Provide day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, including reviewing driver trip logs, expense reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure drivers comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Enter and access data using computerized fleet management systems.
- Promote safe work practices by monitoring vehicle safety, lifting techniques, seatbelt use, and proper equipment usage.
- Coordinate and maintain driver records, including license status, citations, accidents, and other safety-related information.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery and driver documentation, including DOT logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), accident reporting, invoices, and related paperwork.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure maintenance of trucks, tractors, and trailers.
- Partner with Transportation and Operations leadership to minimize operating expenses and improve route efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of transportation or related experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
- Experience using computerized fleet management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work Monday-Friday | 3:00 AM-12:00 PM
