The Safety Supervisor is responsible for providing a safe work environment for all Associates. Responsible for ensuring compliance of all Federal & State regulations. Manage and direct all worker’s compensation, vehicle accident/insurance, and all product liability claims for the company. Responsible for reducing liability/financial exposure for the company. Spearhead roll-out of all Corporate Safety programs. Execute NorthCenter specific plans that support PFG’s overall objectives, including security and crisis preparedness objectives.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
2 years Combination of DOT driver and/or DOT safety/compliance work and Warehousing Leadership experience
$75,000 - $85,000 bonus potential- dependent on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Safety & Compliance rules and regulations. Implement, execute, ensure compliance with PFG’s health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. Primary contact and responsible for all external and internal Safety & Compliance audits.
- Drives and promotes zero incident culture throughout the site and depot locations. Drives annual goals for incident frequency, severity and related cost reductions. Works in tandem with Management. Organizes and leads NorthCenter’s Safety committee and Post-Accident Review committee.
- Facilitate the completion of NorthCenter’ s annual training plan. Works with Management to ensure timely new hire training. Implements programs to train supervisors and associates in work site safety practices. Trains Supervision on incident investigation process, including cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
- Lead NorthCenter Management to identify and evaluate hazards (risks) and implement effective controls (corrective solutions). Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. Visits customer delivery sites and makes recommendations for mitigation of hazards working closely with Transportation and Sales management. Participate in reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases and changes in site processes. Ensures First Response Teams are adequately trained and certified.
- Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of materials and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations. Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies. Responsible for reporting monetary impact of claims to the VP of Finance. Ensures maintenance of safety files and records.
- Manage the worker’s compensation program, including working with the providers and insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time. Ensure Light Duty is provided and used in all applicable cases.
- Leads all Compliance activities - special focus on FMCSR compliance.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
2 years Combination of DOT driver and/or DOT safety/compliance work and Warehousing Leadership experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT guidance and regulations.
- Ability to professionally design and present training to small and large groups of EEs.
- Proficient skills with MS Office suite – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365.
- Ability to quickly learn various custom software applications.
- Ability to analyze data and produce corrective action plans/training to reduce injuries and accidents.
- Work Schedule primarily normal office hours, however, must be available to work split shift at least twice a week as workload requires. Some weekend work may be needed depending on business need.
$75,000 - $85,000 bonus potential- dependent on experience
