Position Overview: You will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support. You'll be our go-to person for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with eye exams. Whether you're greeting patients at the front desk or prepping them for their appointments, you'll be making a real difference in their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk:
- Warm Welcome: Greet patients with a smile and assist them with check-in and check-out.
- Scheduling: Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Billing: Handle insurance verification, co-pays, and payments.
- Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address patient inquiries.
Technician:
- Pre-Exam Prep: Assist with patient history, vision tests, and preparation for eye exams.
- Equipment Operation: Use and maintain diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors and visual field machines.
- Patient Care: Help patients feel comfortable and informed during their exam process.
- Data Entry: Record exam results and assist with updating patient files.
- Support: Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure a smooth and efficient exam process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous medical office experience or receptionist role is preferred. (Not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of optical products and services is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software.
- Positive mindset and a go-getter attitude.
