What You’ll Do:

As a Team Lead, you’re the glue that holds the team together and the spark that keeps them motivated. Here’s what you’ll tackle:

Optical Expertise (Required):

To excel in this role, candidates must have a strong background in optical work and a deep understanding of the technical and customer-facing aspects of the optical industry. Specific qualifications include:

  • Extensive Product Knowledge:
  • Expertise in optical products, including lenses (single vision, progressive, and specialty), coatings (anti-glare, blue light protection, etc.), and frame materials.
  • Prescription Troubleshooting:

Ability to assist patients with complex prescription needs, address concerns about visual clarity, and confidently resolve any prescription-related issues.

  • Frame and Lens Selection:

Skilled in guiding patients through the eyewear selection process, ensuring their choices align with both their style preferences and functional needs. Proficiency in performing precise frame adjustments, repairs, and ensuring proper eyewear fit for optimal comfort and performance. Experience with placing accurate lens orders, coordinating with labs, and ensuring timely delivery of eyewear to patients. Capable of training team members on optical procedures, product features, and best practices while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Familiarity with tracking optical sales and performance metrics, managing inventory levels, and ordering supplies to meet patient needs efficiently.

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within healthcare, retail, or customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to inspire and guide team members and address patient concerns.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to handle challenges with professionalism and creativity.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining efficiency.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using office software and management systems; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus. [We use RevolutionEHR]
