Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking a Project Assistant for its Phoenix 562 operations based in Tempe, AZ. The Project Assistant will be responsible for coordinating organized material deliveries to an active construction site through communication with field leaders, administrative staff, vendors, and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Inputting project information into Excel and Bluebeam
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Assisting with the preparation RFI’s and submittals
• Assisting with managing labor control on the project
• Assisting in the preparation of quantity take-offs for material ordering
• Maintaining accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence
• Tracking and cost-valuing material handling
  
  

Pay range: $18 - 22 per hour, depending on experience.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a degree program in Construction Management, Construction Science, or similar field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical functions and applying new skills are they’re learned
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and receive and follow direction from multiple sources
• Possesses critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Local to Tempe, AZ
• Experience with processing or verifying purchase orders is a plus
• Experience with working in the construction industry or familiarity with materials is preferred
• Experience with tracking inventory and/or scheduling deliveries is preferred
