REMS Technician (Per Diem / Mobile)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled REMS Technician to perform bone density scans using REMS ultrasound technology. This is a mobile, per diem position paid per scan, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals with prior ultrasound experience who are looking to supplement their income. The technician will travel to multiple clinical locations throughout Pennsylvania as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) bone density scans accurately and efficiently
- Operate, transport, and maintain ultrasound scanning equipment
- Educate patients on the scanning process and ensure a positive, comfortable experience
- Follow established protocols for patient intake, scanning, documentation, and data entry
- Submit completed scans and any required reports in a timely manner
- Travel to assigned sites based on schedule and business needs
- Maintain a professional, patient-focused approach at all times
Requirements
- Prior ultrasound experience required; REMS-specific training will be provided
- Strong interpersonal and patient care skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between designated locations
- Professional demeanor and commitment to quality care
- Flexible schedule and availability to work on an as-needed basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited ultrasound or radiology program
- Previous experience in bone density, women’s health, or diagnostic imaging
- Familiarity with Echo REMS technology is a plus, but not required
