Duties
- Support the calibration and measurement of parts using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Help interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to facilitate accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Handle materials and tooling safely within the shop environment, including materials handling and packaging finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Support fabrication tasks such as welding, machine tasks, and assembly activities as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on industrial equipment
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of shop math, mechanical blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and precision measurement techniques.
- Experience with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments..
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with a safety-conscious attitude to uphold safety standards in all tasks.
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and understanding instructions clearly.
