Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Buyer. In this role, you will support the execution of day to day purchasing activities with the goal to meet or exceed the expectations of the organization, sourcing at best overall value considering price, quality, and delivery. NO RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF LIVONIA,MI.
Responsibilities
· Supplier Management (Request for Quotes RFQ, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolutions, supplier compliance etc.).
· Purchase goods, materials, and services that meet or exceed the cost, quality, and delivery targets.
· Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with program targets and requirements.
· Assist with mitigation of any supply problems which may impact our business operations.
· Assist discussions with suppliers on changes to product, processes or cost that will affect the agreement or relationship.
· Minimal travel to local suppliers.
· Develop and implement SOPs/Continuous Improvement opportunities for Purchasing Department.
· Uses company equipment/resources properly & safely and adheres to safety regulations.
· Perform related duties as assigned, within scope of Buyer role.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Level Degree: Supply Chain Management or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
· Knowledge of automotive purchasing systems and related procedures.
· Manage and maintain required department documentation.
· Practice good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and team skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
· Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
· Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
