What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer position at Performance Acoustics, LLC?
Installer's job is to install, position, or affix acoustical products or systems in a specific location. They
ensure that the product is installed safely, neatly and according to the design plan and product
installation requirements. Installers may also provide ongoing support and maintenance of installed
product. Our customers are located throughout the southeast. Travel should be expected multiple days/all week (you will come home on weekends).
Installers will work in a variety of settings, including residential, commercial, industrial, or
institutional. They are expected to act with professionalism and integrity and should be detail oriented
and results driven. The job can be physically demanding and may require working in strenuous
conditions. Hands-on experience with the acoustical products and the tools required to install them is
preferred. All applicants will be trained on the installation of the products we use, so experience is not
required. Performance Acoustics is looking for career minded team members who value punctuality and
are comfortable working to a deadline.
Responsibilities of an installer:
- Install of product: layout and install new acoustical materials as outlined in the training process.
- Present themselves in a professional manner: The installer will be interacting with team members and customers regularly and expected to positively represent the core values of Performance Acoustics.
- Read and understand plans/blueprints: Use blueprints, shop drawings, manuals, and diagrams to determine how and where to install the acoustical product
- Solve problems: work with the senior installer or team lead to solve installation problems
- Clean up: Cleanup project storage and work area during and after project completion to ensure the space is left better than we found it.
Installers will need to be able to:
- Work as part of a high preforming teem
- Stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
- Carry and lift heavy objects (Up to 50lbs)
- Work on scaffolding or in a manlift (work at heights)
- Perform repetitive motions
- Be exposed to paint, fumes, particles, dirt, dust, varying heat and cold, and intermittent noise
- Be out of town for multiple days in a row
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to job sites
Skills:
- Proficiency with the safe operation of various power tools (circular saw, miter saw, drill, impact driver, air compressor, air nailers)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The ability to accurately use a tape-measure
- Basic mechanical aptitude
