Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of pools, including skimming debris, brushing surfaces, and vacuuming floors using specialized pool cleaning equipment.
- Conduct regular water testing and adjust chemical levels to maintain proper pH balance and clarity.
- Inspect pool equipment such as filters, pumps, and chlorinators; perform routine maintenance or minor repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Identify potential mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions early and coordinate repairs with service technicians or maintenance teams.
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, chemical treatments, and equipment inspections for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of pool accessories or safety equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance or repair.
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or cleaning is highly preferred; service technician experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of pool systems, chemical balancing, and water chemistry principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
- Good communication skills to report findings accurately and follow instructions effectively.
