What You Will Do:
- Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers, roof top units, split systems and heat pumps.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of malfunction.
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of insuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
- Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer and dispatch.
- Must be able to proficiently perform the following tasks: troubleshoot with a digital volt meter, soldering and brazing.
- Enter call resolutions on tablet before you leave the customer site.
- Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of our customers.
- Maintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling and preventative maintenance as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
- Participate in company and/or vendor provided training opportunities.
- Follow established safety procedures and housekeeping practices.
- Universal EPA Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in commercial HVAC
- Technical School Certificate in HVAC
