We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions across commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Rotated weekends/ weeks with another service tech (up to 8pm) ,Your expertise will help create comfortable environments while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and adherence to schematics and design plans
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to optimize efficiency and prevent breakdowns
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical system repairs or upgrades
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical components
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform system upgrades or modifications in accordance with HVAC/R standards and building codes
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC systems
- Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, mechanical systems repair, etc
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration, air conditioning units, and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for effective diagnostics and repair
- Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or boiler licenses are advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills in field service environments
- Valid driver’s license for travel between job sites; clean driving record preferred
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
