HVAC Service Technician

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC systems, including electrical wiring, mechanical parts, compressors, fans, pumps, and refrigerant lines.
• Install new HVAC systems and equipment in commercial or residential properties following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
• Conduct plumbing work ensuring proper connections and leak prevention.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations while providing excellent customer service.

Skills

• Proficiency reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams essential for diagnostics and repairs.
• Knowledge of HVAC design principles for system installation planning and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, refrigeration, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to perform electrical diagnostics on electrical systems within HVAC units using appropriate testing devices.
• Field service experience with a focus on property maintenance or commercial/residential HVAC system installation and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles safely.

Requirements

• HVAC/Plumbing License or 2 Years Experience
• Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team
• On Call - 2 Weeks per Year!
