A mission-driven philanthropic organization in Denver is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. The organization works at the intersection of philanthropy, policy, and impact investing to expand opportunities for families across Colorado.

What you’ll actually do:

Lead key components of the monthly and annual close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

Prepare entity-level financials and support consolidated reporting across multiple entities

Track and record grants, program-related investments, and other mission-driven financial activities

Support accounting processes related to investments and capital activity

Review invoices, expenses, and grant disbursements to ensure appropriate approvals and documentation

Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation tracking

Assist with audit preparation, tax support, and compliance documentation

Partner cross-functionally with program, investment, and operations teams to ensure strong financial controls

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

Provide day-to-day guidance to a Senior Finance Assistant
To be successful you’ll need:
- Non profit or foundation accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3–5 years of progressive accounting experience

Exposre to investment accounting

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance partners

High attention to detail with strong organization and deadline management
Where and how much:
- $90k - $115k annually
- Downtown Denver, In-Office (100%)
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
