The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cannabis Plant Tissue Culture Technician. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about plant science and eager to learn about cannabis cultivation through advanced tissue culture techniques. No prior experience in tissue culture is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
Aseptic Technique: Perform all tasks in a sterile environment using aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
Media Preparation: Accurately prepare nutrient media for various stages of plant tissue culture, including initiation, multiplication, and rooting.
Plant Propagation: Assist in the micropropagation of cannabis plants, including explant preparation, subculturing, and acclimatization of plantlets.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all experiments, observations, and inventory.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and glassware.
Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot common tissue culture issues, such as contamination or poor growth.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, especially those related to handling cannabis and laboratory chemicals.
