Duties
- Develop and execute creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development for literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation among preschool students.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning space conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Assess student progress through observations and assessments.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, developmental milestones, and behavioral concerns effectively.
- Support children’s overall welfare by providing guidance on childcare best practices, early intervention strategies, and special education accommodations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math and physical education.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering a warm and supportive environment.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in special education or toddler care is a plus.
- Knowledge of teaching and tutoring techniques suitable for preschool-aged children.
