Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, creative, and detail-oriented Floral Assistant to join our garden center team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, preparation and maintenance of floral arrangements and displays, while providing excellent customer service. This role also includes basic plant care and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the floral and garden center areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating fresh arrangements, bouquets and seasonal displays.
- Great customers and provide knowledgeable advice on flowers, plants and care.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect floral and plant shipments.
- Maintain the freshness and appearance of flowers, plants and retail displays.
- Stock and organize floral supplies, containers, and accessories.
- Support seasonal promotions, holiday displays, and special events.
- Operate point-of-sale system and process customer transactions as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous floral, horticulture, or retail experience preferred.
- Strong interest in plants, flowers, and design.
- Basic knowledge of plant and flower care.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including up to 25lbs., standing for long periods, and working in varying temperatures (greenhouse, cooler, outdoors).

- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Shifts may vary based on seasonal demand
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
