The Software Architect V is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-level software architectures for complex projects and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Develops and implements high level project architectures - specifications for platform configurations, subsystem specifications, protocols, and interfaces
- Supports, develops, and implements evolution of existing systems into target architectures
- Technical Project Management
- Will utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work
- Meet regularly with the technical lead team to report progress, set priorities and coordinate requirements gathering
- Gather requirements
- Help develop timelines
- Ensure developers are available to develop software to meet those timelines
- Coordinate with Technical team for Release scheduling
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience developing and implementing complex software architectures
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns, architectural principles, protocols, and interfaces
- Infrastructure Development:
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Utilize Terraform and Crossplane to provision cloud resources via code
- Understand GIT and ArgoCD to automate the deployment of cloud resources
- Google Cloud Platform Kubernetes Engines (GKE)
- GCP cloud monitoring tools
- Virtual Private Cloud
- Cloud Identity Access Management
- 10 years of progressive experience in software design, development, and architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
