Resident Care Aide Responsibilities
- Assist residents with memory impairment in completing daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining their dignity and promoting independence.
- Ensure compliance with and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of resident care.
- Immediately report changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor, including signs of illness, behavioral changes, unmet personal care needs, medication concerns, or unknown resident whereabouts.
- Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification preferred, or as required by law.
- One year of experience working in a caregiving capacity preferred.
- Compassion for and a genuine desire to work with older adults required.
