What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Call Bell Person position at Peregrine Hospitality?
SALARY RANGE - This position pays Minimum Wage $16.90/hour, plus tips. The Bell person is responsible for assisting with the check-in/check-out processes and accommodating guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Be knowledgeable of all VIP areas.
- Be aware of all daily events.
- Report Safety or Guests Hazards to the Guest services management or Safety and Loss Prevention team.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must have thorough knowledge of the resorts, its’ features, and benefits.
- Load and unload luggage carts.
- Escort guests and deliver luggage to rooms and familiarize them with resort services and amenities (hours of outlets, pool, and exercise room, etc.). Provide a brief tour of the guest room highlighting the main features and benefits.
- Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags.
- Deliver luggage or/and amenities to the guest rooms.
- Provide shuttle service throughout Silverado Resort via golf cart and guest services vehicles.
- Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance of guest service vehicles ands golf carts/
- Assist with room changes.
- Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities.
- Maintain list of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
- Assist Houseperson with guest requests.
- Provide information, maps and directions as required.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Must be 18 years of age to operate a golf cart and Silverado Resorts vehicles.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Heavy work - Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Ex
- Must be able to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to move/maneuver in an outdoor environment during the changing seasons.
- This role requires operating a golf cart and Silverado Resorts vehicles.
