What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Market Attendant/Barista position at Peregrine Hospitality?
SALARY RANGE: $18.00-$19.00 per hour plus tips. As a Market Attendant/Barista Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager and the Supervisor with leading a shift and ensuring that the team is set up for success and the customers’ needs are met.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Lead the assigned shift and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- Assist with ordering supplies for the department.
- Train new baristas on the processes in the outlet.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings.
- Observe relevant health and safety standards.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista is a must.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification is required.
- Must be 18 to operate a golf cart.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
- Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
- This role requires operating a golf cart.
