Summary Come join our Engineering team in Georgetown, DE for Summer 2026! Our Engineering Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 - 12 week period. Come experience an inside look in the world of plant operations. Overtime may be available. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct research and develop scope for a high-impact engineering project • Analyze cost estimates and propose viable solutions to improve business operations • Present findings and recommendations to leadership • Assist project managers with active and developing projects • Learn and apply project management methodologies used at Perdue • Help track timelines, budgets, and deliverables • Support operations, maintenance, and operational technologies teams • Participate in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives • Organize engineering and project files across multiple locations • Maintain version control and ensure accessibility of key documents • Create and refine presentations for internal stakeholders • Communicate technical concepts in a clear, engaging format Minimum Education • Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree. • Degree in an Engineering capacity • 3.0 GPA or higher Experience Requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work well within a team setting, as well as independently. • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate in a team atmosphere. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements • Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. • Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
