At Percy, we’re building new ways to connect talented professionals with meaningful career opportunities at leading companies in the multifamily industry. We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operations at a an affordable housing community in Chicago.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with 2 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, minor HVAC, and carpentry who wants to join a collaborative on-site team and make an immediate impact. The property was rehabbed in 2012, and you’ll help keep building systems running smoothly while delivering responsive service to residents.

Responsibilities
- Complete electrical, plumbing, minor HVAC, and carpentry work orders and repairs
- Support unit turns, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance
- Diagnose issues, source parts, and maintain accurate maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and assist the maintenance supervisor as needed
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
Qualifications
- 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience
- Proficient in electrical, plumbing, minor HVAC, and carpentry
- Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills
