Peraton is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Developer/Administrator to join our team supporting a large-scale national security credentialing system in a complex, dynamic environment. The candidate shall serve as a trusted advisor to Government and client/functional leadership; oversee and direct a team of three, and bring practical operational governance to a complex, high-visibility program. The individual will be responsible for supporting the Microsoft SQL Servers in the Development and Test environments containing 12 databases. This position is on site in Colorado Springs at least 3 days a week. Traditional responsibilities include the following:
- Troubleshooting database issues.
- Database performance tuning.
- SQL statement tuning.
- Reviewing and implementing database design changes.
- Coding (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years or more experience in writing and tuning SQL queries.
- 8 years experience with a Bachelors, 6 with a Master's, 3 with a PhD and 12 with a HS Diploma
- 3 years or more experience designing and implementing database structures.
- 3 years or more of SQL coding / scripting experience.
- Able to work flexible schedule/weekends if needed.
- Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language).
- Must be a US Citizen with a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft database-related certification.
- 1 year of experience in Oracle Database Administration to support the conversion of Oracle databases to SQL Server.
- 1 year of experience creating issues in Gitlab.
- 1 year of experience in code management with Git
- Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program.
- Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework.
