Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Business Process Consultant to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.
This position is located on-site in Tallahassee, Florida.
The position will report to the Division of Food Safety to supplement existing staff by supporting the planning, design, development, and implementation of information technology projects. The Business Process Consultant role supports FDACS's strategic IT initiatives by planning, designing, and implementing systems to improve food safety operations and processes. The position directly contributes to achieving the agency's efficiency and technological modernization goals.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements.
- Develop models, diagrams, and documentation for IT system enhancements.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and project teams
- Deliverables include AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, gap analyses, business cases, and test plans.
- Streamlining work-flows for the Division of Food Safety.
- Enabling data-driven decision-making by creating robust process models and data dictionaries.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check.
- Minimum of 7 years of performing business analysis on IT projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing large, software development programs/projects.
- Experience creating process model diagrams.
Experience translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or another related field.
Experience leading meetings with individuals and groups of people to discuss business processes.
Experience facilitating requirements gathering and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
Experience communicating with IT leadership and business leadership.
Experience in deriving business process and data requirements from analyzing process and system documentation.
- Experience creating data dictionary.
Experience in translating the information from meetings and written materials into process models and/or process flow models.

Target Salary Range
