What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement, Advisor position at Peraton?

Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Advisor with experience in source selection and acquisition support to join our FAA procurement operations team. This role provides a unique opportunity to participate in the full lifecycle of federal acquisitions—from market research and solicitation development to evaluation and award—supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as it modernizes and sustains the National Airspace System (NAS).

In this position, you will:

  • Support source selection activities, including solicitation preparation, proposal evaluation, and documentation review.

  • Assist in the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), evaluation criteria, and source selection plans.

  • Perform market research and gather data to support acquisition planning and supplier analysis.

  • Track and maintain procurement files, evaluation documentation, and compliance records.

  • Participate in evaluation team coordination meetings and maintain confidentiality of selection materials.

  • Analyze supplier proposals for responsiveness, accuracy, and adherence to FAA and federal requirements.

  • Support cost and price analysis, comparing vendor quotes, and verifying compliance with solicitation terms.

  • Help ensure all activities align with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) and FAR/DFARS standards.

  • Assist in preparing source selection summaries, recommendation reports, and final award documentation.

  • Collaborate with Contracts, Legal, and Program Management teams to support timely procurement execution.

  • Maintain audit-ready procurement documentation.

Why This Role Matters

Every FAA mission begins with sound procurement decisions. As a Procurement Associate, your work ensures that contracts are awarded fairly, efficiently, and in compliance with FAA policies—laying the foundation for mission success. You will directly support source selection activities, assist in developing procurement packages, and collaborate with technical teams to help identify the best-value suppliers. Your diligence and analytical skills will help the FAA maintain its legacy of excellence, safety, and fiscal integrity across its acquisition portfolio.
