Peraton is seeking a Graphics Designer. This position creates user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional interfaces for websites and applications. Key responsibilities include designing wireframes and prototypes, developing graphic elements, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and intuitive graphics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design menus, navigation, icons, logos, and accompanying fonts and colors to be consistent with the DHA style guide and be compliant with Section 508 for digital accessibility
- Visual Design: Create original graphic designs, illustrations, and layouts that align with brand and style guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the final product meets functional, aesthetic, and business goals.
- Iteration and Testing: Refine designs based on user feedback, testing results, and evolving project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design assets for the team's reference.
- 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS diploma
- Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Primary work locations in Tacoma, WA, Aurora, CO, San Antonio, TX, and Falls Church, VA. Remote work may be considered in special cases when approved by the customer.
- Proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of graphic designs methods
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools
- Excellent visual and non-visual communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and receive feedback effectively
Desired Skills:
- BA/BS (4 Year) degree with 6 years progressive experience in graphics design or related experience preferred.
- Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus
