Database Engineer (Mid)

In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking a talented Database Engineer (Mid) with expertise in Database Development.

 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
• Use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
• Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements.
• Prepare system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
• Evaluate, sizes, and selects technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities, for database management systems and application databases.
• Write and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability. Implements comprehensive backup and database replication solutions.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
• 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• You have 3 years of experience with Data Modeling, Data warehouse architecture, implementation, and O&M.
• You have 5 years of experience using data tools including  MSSQL Change Data Capture (CDC), Apache Flume, Postgres.
• You have 3 years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell and Power-BI.
• You have 5 years of experience building or maintaining high-availability, failovers, backups, scaling and clustering operational systems.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
