What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time General Maintenance Person position at PERA?

PERA General Maintenance position, part-time.
As the general maintenance worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks in lawn care, plumbing, basic carpentry, painting, and basic janitorial tasks to ensure our facilities are in good condition.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Your duties will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Conducting routine inspections of the premises and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on both buildings and equipment.
- Basic repairs and maintenance.
- Basic janitorial duties.
- Basic lawn maintenance, i.e., Mowing, trimming, watering, planting, and sprinkler maintenance.
- Help with large caterings & PERA events.
- Need to have or the ability to get a food handlers card from Apache County.
- Help in the Coyote Grill as needed to cover for absences.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or senior staff.
- Knowledge of basic carpentry.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time.
This position will be Monday – Thursday, five hours a day. There is some flexibility with the hours worked, but the five-hour block must be worked between 8 am – 4 pm.
Starting hourly rate will be DOE.

We are an 83 acre Recreational Facility for SRP employees and their guests. PERA has been in business for more than 65 years. In 2019 we built a brand new facility that includes meetings rooms, an employee store, fitness center, a bar, and full service kitchen for catering events.
