Summary
Springfield, NJ – Per Sé Group is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator – Pre-Construction & Estimating to support ongoing projects with leading clients. This role supports multiple phases of project development—from early estimating through project execution—ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery across high-end commercial interiors and mixed-use developments. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity offering valuable exposure to all aspects of construction management.
Responsibilities
Provide project document control and maintain accurate records throughout project phases
Assist in preparing detailed project budgets, estimates, and cost models, including take-offs and subcontractor data
Analyze Revit models, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate budgets and conceptual cost models
Support value-engineering efforts and propose cost-effective alternatives to meet client goals
Maintain and update historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy
Support preparation of RFPs, subcontractor coverage tracking, and descoping efforts
Draft scope narratives to align design intent with budget and schedule requirements
Collaborate with business development on RFP/RFQ responses and proposal packages
Support proposal content, technical narratives, and interview presentations for new pursuits
Manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, drawing logs, meeting minutes)
Track construction schedules, assist field teams with logistics planning, and monitor budget performance
Preferred Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
2–4 years of commercial construction experience, including pre-construction or estimating exposure
Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, Procore, and Microsoft Project
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for client-facing and proposal work
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver
Experience with corporate interiors and tenant-improvement projects preferred
Knowledge of permitting and entitlement processes in urban markets
LEED accreditation, PMP, or similar certification a plus
