What are the responsibilities and job description for the P6 Project Scheduler | You’re not building the schedule. You’re controlling it. position at Per Sé Group?
If you’re a strong P6 scheduler who’d rather be on the owner’s side of a major capital project than buried in the weeds building an EPC schedule, this is a different kind of scheduling role.
You’ll support major power-generation construction projects, working alongside senior project leadership while overseeing the EPC’s schedule, challenging the plan, and making sure the schedule tells the truth about where the project stands.
What you’ll do
- Oversee and challenge EPC-developed Primavera P6 schedules for major capital projects
- Track actual progress against milestones, critical path activities, and baseline plans
- Identify schedule risk early and push the project team toward mitigation before it becomes a delay
- Analyze schedule changes, logic, resource loading, forecasts, and recovery plans
- Work directly with project managers, engineers, EPC partners, and other project controls stakeholders
- Use schedule information to help drive scope, risk, cost, and project decisions—not just produce reports
- Provide clear schedule analysis and reporting to senior project leadership
What you get
You’ll be working on $50M capital construction projects in the energy sector, with power-generation experience particularly valuable. This is an owner’s-representative environment where your P6 expertise gets used to control the project, not simply maintain a schedule.
The role pays $80–$87/hour, with an $800 weekly per diem for eligible travel. The standard schedule is 7–4, 40 hours per week.
Who you are
You know P6 inside and out, but you’re more than a scheduler. You understand how schedule, scope, risk, cost, and execution interact. You’ve worked on complex energy construction projects and know how to look at an EPC schedule and immediately start asking, “Does this actually make sense?”
You’ve been around major capital projects, not just outages or turnarounds and you're comfortable directing traffic among multiple stakeholders.
About the opportunity
You’ll be part of the owner’s project team on significant power-generation work, partnering with experienced project and scheduling leadership.
Curious what the project looks like and how much ownership you’ll actually have? Reach out and I’ll give you the details before you decide anything.
