Job Skills / Requirements

$20.00/hour | Temporary with Potential for Permanent Employment

Dates: December 22, 2026 – January 2, 2027Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 PM – 2:00 AM

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and alert Security Officer for a public-facing facility. This is a temporary holiday assignment with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior security experience strongly preferred.
• Candidates with a solid, consistent security work history are encouraged to apply.
• Prior law enforcement/police or military experience is a plus.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and conduct indoor/outdoor patrols.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
• MUST have reliable transportation as you will be traveling to multiple sites.
• *Must be able to obtain a State Security Officer License ** No felonies per Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
• Pass background check
• Must pass on-site drug test
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to be professional in all settings, have open communication with Operations Manager and be able to learn quickly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility.
• Conduct indoor/outdoor patrols, including parking areas as applicable.
• Monitor guests and surroundings for unusual or potentially unsafe activity.
• Maintain a visible presence when large groups exit and address loitering professionally.
• Conduct bag checks when required.
• Respond to alarms and accompany staff when requested.
• Maintain clear radio communication with management.
• Assist guests with directions or basic requests.
• Remain attentive and avoid unnecessary conversations, gossip, or distractions.
• Assist with closing procedures and verify all guests have exited.
• Escort closing personnel to their vehicles when required.
• Assist with checking exterior and entrance doors.
• Remain on-site until all guests have left.
• Check in with the closing manager before leaving.

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

• Arrive on time in a clean, pressed, complete uniform.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Display security badge at all times.
• Treat all guests and employees with courtesy and respect.
• Allow management to handle guest complaints unless assistance is requested or there is an immediate safety threat.
• Remain calm, professional, alert, and responsive at all times.
