FT Access Control Security Officer

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a security officer at our West Branch, Iowa location. This is an overnight position 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Thurs/Fri/Sat, and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Sunday. Initial training is scheduled Tues-Fri 8:00 am - 6:00 pm until complete.

Pay: 40 hours per week at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age and older
  • A valid driver's license with a MVR that within company policy.
  • Qualify for a State of Iowa security license, with no disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Good customer services skills for daily interactions with both the public and commercial vehicle drivers.
  • Able to physically stand for extended periods during high traffic periods.

Job Duties:

  • Access control of inbound/outbound commercial vehicles, visitors, and other traffic via computer.   
  • Monitor facility CCTV's.
  • Respond to incidents with the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.  

Please note: Upon hire, the candidate will be required to travel to attend a 1 day orientation/training at our Cedar Rapids office.
