Job Description:
The optician assists patients with frame and lens selection, conducts measurements, fits and adjusts eyewear, as well as dispenses eyewear and contact lenses. Requires strong customer service skills. ABO certified preferred. Aids patients in understanding insurance coverage and vision plan benefits regarding eyewear. Other job duties include front office support such as answering phones, preparing medical records, scheduling, accounts receivable, processing reports, and filing records. Must maintain a high level of customer service and communication skills, computer literacy, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
