Overview
PepsiCo is seeking a Director of Transportation for our Warehouse Delivered (WHD) brands (e.g. Gatorade, Quaker, Propel, Muscle Milk). Based at our Chicago, IL office and reporting to the Senior Director of WHD Transportation, the Director will play an integral part in transportation management. You will be part of a high-performing team, responsible for leading a diverse group of transportation professionals in the day-to-day operations in the central US. This role supports third-party transportation operations for our manufacturing facilities and co-packaging manufacturing networks, as well as shipments to our retail customers & Pepsi bottling network.
The Director will lead highly visible projects that will have a significant impact on the direction and performance of both the PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) and Quaker foods businesses. This work will focus on delivering the highest levels of service at the lowest cost, while expediting throughput of product to the marketplace to reduce out of stock numbers. You will work with Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, and Sales to formulate and drive supply planning strategies and tactics.
The right person for this role will be innovative and forward-thinking with a proven track record of strong leadership and influence management skills. An aptitude to quickly gain credibility with a broad group of people-team members, cross-functional peers, executive leadership, and external stakeholders-is critical.

- Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, business, supply chain, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of transportation management experience with a national scope
- P&L experience with cost management and bottom-line orientation
- Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial concepts, and key drivers of profitability and operational performance
- Proven track record of coaching and developing team members and motivating teams to deliver high-quality results
- Passion for the consumer and a desire to make one of the world's strongest CPG companies even stronger
- Ability to travel as required (25-50%)
