Our International Engineer Group is a centralized, globally dispersed and agile organization focused on innovative solutions which incorporate external perspectives with internal priorities. This design will accelerate the development of transformative engineering solutions for the international sectors across Europe, LATAM, AMESA and APAC. This team focuses on four key strategic priorities including designing next gen greenfield facility & infrastructure solutions, identifying technical unlocks to significantly improve PC & TC line technology costs, developing next gen equipment solutions that provide high functionality & flexibility and low-cost / low-tech automation and next gen engineering solutions for energy reduction, renewable energy and water reclamation.
In this role you will lead the efforts to lower the processing line costs for PC (Potato Chips) platform, which is one of PEP’s key and major snacks category platforms The main objectives of the key unit operations will be slicing to seasoning.
- Reduce the new PC processing equipment cost by 25 – 35% vs the current across PEP internationally while applying TCO lens.
- Develop unit operations aiming to maintain / improve the key processing metrics like TE%, TPP kg/Eehr, TPW $/kg, etc.
- Enable equipment and line cost reduction through increasing the local manufacturing capabilities of OEMs taking PEP’s growth and expansion plans into consideration.
- Ensure no compromise of PEP compliance requirements for the key areas like Food Safety, Safety, FM Global, Sustainability, Environmental, etc. while developing new engineering solutions and technologies.
This is a location free role with preference for Poland, Sao Paul or Hyderabad. Candidates can NOT be located in the USA, Canada or the UK.
Responsibilities
- Scout, evaluate, verify, validate and deploy new technologies and solutions to lower the equipment costs for PC processing by 25 – 35%.
- Development, ownership and governance of all related engineering technical standards for compliance.
- Develop and establish the new engineering technical standards, specifications and procedures for low cost PC processing equipment.
- Support the alignment process with relevant Sector engineering teams.
- Improve / update the standards based on changes and further developments.
- Work closely with Sector engineering teams to implement the newly defined solutions on all relevant projects across PEP internationally.
- Support the alignment of International Sector engineering teams with the new solutions and standards.
- Work closely with relevant people from International and Sector engineering teams to ensure all solutions are verified and reflected into relevant projects with no negative impact on other priorities like quality, safety, sustainability, maintenance, etc.
- Work closely with global and Sector (when relevant) Quality, EHS, Make / MOS, Sustainability teams for the specific aspects of the new solutions and to secure SME validation.
- Closely cooperate with Global R&D and Quality teams on the product aspects of new solutions for PC processing equipment.
- Partner with relevant teams including GP and Controls to ensure the confidentiality of all developed solutions and key supplier relationships are maintained for competitive benefit of PepsiCo.
- Participate in global forums and exhibitions to identify the new solutions for PEP’s future PC projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Engineering.
- 10 years engineering experience in snacks industry with proven track record.
- Thorough understanding of PC processing technology including operational needs of manufacturing, quality and safety functions.
- Strong English skills both written and orally

- Ability to coach and develop others through engineering capability building events.
- Strong international network within snacks processing Original Equipment Manufacturers, seen as a credible professional within the field.
