We are looking for a talented Assistant Scientist to join our Global Lemon Lime & SodaStream team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in product development initiatives
- The position requires application of technical knowledge including bench top formulation, experimental design etc.
- Lead small projects under guidance of lead product developer
- Manage shelf-life testing across all active projects (sensory & analytical)
- Prepare ingredients for tech center runs and commercial plant trials
- Conduct product development experiments in the laboratory and tech center, while accurately documenting all procedures and results
- Support product development scientists in testing new ingredients and developing new beverage models
- Accurately prepare beverage samples and submit samples for micro, analytical or sensory testing
- Be the lab manager by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment
- Maintain and document lab supply inventory
- Effectively work with members of other groups to maintain the lab or conduct lab work
- Partner externally to source ingredients and leverage vendor expertise
- Transfer product development knowledge generated to cross functional partners
- Participate as an active member of cross-functional Research and Development teams comprised of individuals from a variety of disciplines, including Product Development, Ingredient & Flavor Development, Engineering, and other groups
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $59,300 - $92,500 based on a full-time schedule
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
- S. in Food Science (or related field)
- 1-2 years’ experience in Product Development or associated R&D functions
- Experience with producing ready to drink beverages is desirable
- Ability to flawlessly execute bench work
- Must demonstrate relentless commitment to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment
- Must be proactive, reliable, and self-motivated
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be well organized, capture work details, and highlight any unexpected challenges
- Must possess ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams
- Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook (email/calendar)
