POSITION SUMMARY:
The function of the Accounting Clerk is to perform a variety of general accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The Accounting Clerk will run accounting software programs to process business transactions such as invoices, accounts receivable, and other accounting documents. The position requires excellent customer service and attention to detail.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the business / accounting department
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Reconcile delivery routes in a timely manner
- Enter data daily into route accounting system
- Prepare bank deposits
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research and correct accounting discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer
- Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel. Will transfer a caller to an employee’s mailbox when the individual is unavailable.
- Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel
- Assists in taking and processing customer orders placed via telephone
- Assists with other related clerical duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must meet all pre-employment qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED acceptable)
- Two years of administrative / accounting clerk experience preferred

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
