Located right across from a prominent downtown area, Peppino's Downtown Sports Lounge has been a beloved gathering spot for locals for over a decade! Our lively sports bar offers a family-friendly atmosphere, featuring classic pasta recipes passed down through generations and more than 70 TVs to catch every big game.
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Host to join our vibrant team! As a key ambassador of our establishment, you will create a welcoming environment for guests, manage reservations and seating arrangements, and ensure smooth guest flow throughout the venue. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will help deliver an exceptional dining experience for all visitors.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using reservation system such as Resy or Open Table
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing accurate information about wait times and availability
- Assist guests with special requests and accommodate seating preferences whenever possible
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Host or Hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting minimum 1 to 2 years of experience
- Strong food service and customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
